We have gotten much more snow this year than usual, and consequently, the local schools have taken off 13 “Snow Days”! People who live in the North would laugh at us, because it really hasn’t been that much snow, but because we don’t usually get that much, we are unprepared.

My kids were a little miffed that we just kept on doing school right through those wintry days, but I figured they were perfect days for doing school. Who can come up with a better idea than snuggling up on a cold day with a good book. So what if we sneak a little math and handwriting in there too!

Besides, now we have the leisure to take off a couple of “Spring Days”! After a long cold winter, who wants to be inside on the first few days of Spring? They are far more fun days to have off.
