Biology: Ecology
- July 2024 — In chapter 13, “Creation in Crisis?”, the authors explain the current situation related to species extinction, population growth, deforestation, destruction of the coral reefs, the problem with synthetic fertilizer use in agriculture, and global warming. While the Moos are not alarmists, as many people who write about these topics tend to be, their resources are still over a decade old. Many more climatologists and geologists are scrutinizing the data, and the situation is likely not as dire as first predicted. Therefore, instead of reading this chapter, the next three lessons will be replaced by presentations by two “climate realists.”
