Doing science with a group is much more fun, and I have a few things in the guides that can only be done with a group. And it can be a great source of accountability and encouragement!

Form 2

Usually, doing a class with Form 2 students does not require each family to have their own study guide, as most of the formal science work can be done in class under the teacher’s direction. Still, a Charlotte Mason science education includes more than just the experimental science subject. So, it would be best if you suggested that students read from a Nature Lore book, preferably The Story Book of Science, for about 10-15 minutes each week and conduct a few special studies each term. Of course, that is optional, as this might not be a “Charlotte Mason” co-op, or you might have time to do it all in class if you have an hour each week.

Form 3+

Each family needs to purchase a guide for classes with Form 3 and up students. In these classes, it’s best to do the experiment lessons together in class and assign the reading lessons to be done at home. You can also fill them in on special studies and ask them to share what they have learned with the class or have each student do a short presentation at the end of the term. Again, just to round it out. Or not.

Discount

I am happy to provide a 20% group discount code for groups with 6 or more people. If you need digital guides, I can provide a coupon code which your group members can use to order their guides individually. If you want to purchase paperback copies, I must order them directly from Amazon to get the discount. Therefore, I will need to send you an invoice to pay for them in advance. If you are interested in either option, please email [email protected].

Please provide the following information:

  • Main contact’s name and email
  • Co-op name
  • Which guides you want and how many
  • Whether you would like digital copies or paperback copies
  • If you would like paperback copies, I will also need the address where they should be shipped.
