Imagine if your mind was reset every year and you had to go about relearning your child’s habits and idiosyncrasies, what made them special, what they were especially good at, in what ways you could count on them, what areas you needed to watch for sin to creep up, or a host of other things you currently know about your child? How good of a parent would you be if each year you forgot all those valuable tidbits about your child? How then, can we think of letting a different person teach our little individuals each and every year, despite that person’s formal training? How can they possibly be as effective as we can be?
